Shift: Part-time to Full-time; Hours vary TBD
Job Summary
1Vision offers a Machine Apprentice program for new employees with minimal or no experience. Apprentice’s typically start in a “Helper” role and they learn about the business, products, equipment, and different processes while training with experienced operators.
Apprentice Helpers on our various manufacturing machines typically start out by learning to handle paper (jogging, loading, unloading, gathering, stacking), sorting and separating variable materials, and get a broad overview of our processes and workflow. Over time, Apprentice Helpers spend more time with Operators learning about the equipment, types of adjustments and setups required for each type of work performed.
Every day is different. We produce a wide range of products for hundreds of customers. Each order has a unique set of specifications and so time and experience is the best way to learn the variety of skills needed.
Motivated Apprentice Helpers can often advance into one of several Assistant Operator roles within three to six months. Opportunities for career growth include: on the job training with experienced operators, advancement and promotion, and an organization that values the success of our staff.
Duties & Responsibilities

Helps other Operators with set-up and operation of equipment

Reviews production order details to determine job specifications and schedule

Uses a pallet jack to move raw materials and finished jobs

Loads and unloads material from machines

Inspects materials and products for quality

Makes adjustments and performs basic maintenance

Keeps a clean and organized work area at all times

Cross-trains in other areas and continues learning new and improved processes to increase knowledge and understanding of print industry

Works with management and production team to set, measure, and achieve productivity goals

Follows OSHA safety requirements
Qualifications

Must have a positive and enthusiastic attitude

Must be a motivated, self-starter who is eager to learn, grow, and seek promotion within the company

Must be organized, mechanically inclined, and detail oriented

Must be able to follow written instructions and documented procedures

Must have basic knowledge of and be comfortable with computers and software
-
Must be able to work with a sense of urgency to maintain production requirements

Must be able to repeatedly lift and re-stack up to 50lbs throughout shift
